Texas-based Vistra donated $500,000 to organizations assisting with immediate relief and recovery efforts in the wake of the devastating floods in Kerr County and Central Texas.
“Our hearts are with those experiencing tremendous loss and hardship,” said Jim Burke, Vistra President and CEO. “Texas is our home. In times of crisis, Texans come together–and we want to offer our support.”
Donations will support the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and local nonprofits providing essential services. The company will also fund its Energy Aid program, which will assist local residents with their electric bills.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the first responders and volunteers helping families and communities recover,” Burke said. “We will continue to look for ways in which our team can support those impacted.”
