For the first time in its almost eighty-year history, Tupperware announced it will debut a line of glass food storage containers. The non-toxic, oven-safe glassware, made from borosilicate, is a major shift for the company as it seeks to offer new products and reinvent itself while staying true to its product roots.
The Voila Glass line includes three different shapes: square, for cobblers; extra-large rectangle, for lasagnas and casseroles; and round, for pies. Each Voila product is equipped with BPA-free lids, a built-in vent for an airtight seal, grippy rims for easy handling and volume lines for precise measurement, and can withstand temperatures between -13 degrees to 572 degrees Fahrenheit, making them versatile enough to be used for oven baking as well as freezer storage.
The Voila Glass line will be available beginning September 18th.
