The Mary Kay Ash Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Mary Kay Inc., announced a renewed partnership with The National Domestic Violence Hotline. The two entities will now launch a nationwide initiative focused on trauma-informed education, community engagement and life-saving tools to help victims recognize and respond to domestic abuse.
Through a $70,000 grant, the Mary Kay Ash Foundation will support development of what it is calling a “suite of co-branded public service materials” at no charge, including webinar trainings, downloadable toolkits and conversation guides, and an educational video series.
“Domestic violence has no place in our homes, workplaces, or communities, and yet it affects every zip code, every income bracket, and far too many lives,” said Michael Lunceford, President of the Mary Kay Ash Foundation Board of Directors. “This partnership is about more than raising awareness. It’s about equipping people with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to act—honoring Mary Kay Ash’s vision of a world where all women feel safe, supported, and heard.”
The joint initiative will launch this month with the goal of helping the public recognize abuse, build trauma-informed communication skills and create survivor-informed communities of care.
